The sides and back pieces are made of sturdy MDF with a cherry veneer. All drawers, door fronts, and pillars are constructed of solid cherry wood, carved and finished to perfection. The Plasma TV base can be used alone as large TV stand, capable of holding plasma TVs or traditional televisions. The TV stand features ample media storage, including 4 slide out video component shelves, protected by glass doors, and two additional cabinets for CD or DVD storage. The center door provides a speaker/grill panel option.Left and right Storage Piers are sold separately from TV stand, and provide you with extra storage and glass shelving, perfect for books, CDs, DVDs and other decorations or collectibles. Curio glass shelves are lit from above. The final piece to this home theater entertainment center includes a connecting top shelf which spans between the two piers (sold separately), an optional shelf to fit over the TV, and a ¾" thick back, perfect for wall mounting LCD, big screen and plasma TVs.This item ships directly from the manufacturer.
